The way this works is you define a template that describes the columns in your input file and how they should be mapped over to the Quickbooks .iif file. Once you`ve defined a template, you can use it over and over again to convert your input file to an .iif file. This program is flexible, but there are several things you must do to ensure that the information is transferred properly. First, the very first row must contain column headers (such as "Name", "Date Worked", etc). Second, the data must be separated by comma. This is usually a setting when exporting the data (csv file). Also note that if the job doesn`t already exist in Quickbooks, QB will automatically create the job upon import of the hours. Once these two conditions are met, you can then create an export template.
